Minnesota coach Jerry Kill did not return to the sideline for the second half of the game against Michigan State.

Kill was missing in the third quarter, and the university said in the fourth quarter on Saturday that Kill was not expected to return. No reason was immediately given.

Kill has a history of seizures. He had one on the sideline near the end of a game last season and was away from the team for several days while doctors tried to bring his condition under better control.

This year, he was hospitalized after another episode in his locker room following Minnesota's loss to Northwestern on Oct. 13.
