Ian Hummer finished with 28 points on 12-of-16 shooting to lead three players in double figures as Princeton beat Lafayette 72-53 Saturday in nonconference action.

T. J. Bray scored 17 points and Will Barrett chipped in with 13 points for Princeton (2-3).

The Tigers broke the game open early with a 19-4 run.

Princeton made 14 of 28 shots in the first half, while the Leopards (1-4) shot just 32.1 percent (9 of 28). Princeton led at halftime 33-23.

The Tigers shot 68.2 percent (15 of 22) in the second half to pull away.

Princeton opened the second half on a 21-11 run to extend its lead to 20, 54-34 with 10 minutes remaining.

Dan Trist and Tony Johnson scored 10 points apiece, but finished a combined 7-of-22 shooting for the Leopards.
