VERMILLION, S.D. – Juevol Myles scored 24 points, including 5 of 6 shots from 3-point range, and South Dakota defeated Culver-Stockton College 81-73 on Friday night.
South Dakota (2-3) also got 16 points and 10 rebounds from Trevor Gruis and 13 points from Karim Rowson.
Marshaun Norris scored 23 points and dished out six assists for Culver-Stockton (4-2), and Mario Gulley scored 13 points.
South Dakota shot 55.6 percent from the floor, had a 20-13 scoring advantage off the bench and an 18-6 scoring advantage in fast-break situations.
Culver-Stockton shot only 10 free throws for the game, making seven.
