Brazil's national football confederation revealed Friday that Mano Menezes, head coach of the country's national team, has been relieved of his coaching duties.
Menezes, who took over as coach in 2010, has been criticized heavily for failing to lead Brazil to a gold medal at this year's London Olympics despite guiding the team to the final.
Andres Sanchez, the confederation's National Teams Director, stated that Menezes' replacement will be named in January.
