Trevor Noack scored 15 points to lead Belmont to a 74-60 win over host Alaska-Anchorage on Wednesday night in the opening round of the Great Alaska Shootout.

Ian Clark added 14 points and five assists, and J.J. Mann had 13 points and five steals to help the Bruins (4-0) win in their first-ever appearance in the tournament.

Mike MacKelvie scored a career-best 14 points and Liam Gibcus added 13 for the Division-II Seawolves (4-1), who cut a 10-point halftime deficit to 55-29 with 15 minutes left but could get no closer.

Teancum Stafford was also in double figures with 11 points for Anchorage.

The Bruins limited the Seawolves to 38 percent (19 for 50) shooting and forced 20 turnovers.

Belmont advanced to a Friday night semifinal against Northeastern, while Anchorage will play UC Riverside in the consolation semifinals earlier in the day.
