Undersized back Kerwynn Williams has No. 25 Utah State on verge of record 10-win season

Kerwynn Williams really wasn't taking much of a chance leaving the bright lights of Las Vegas for the quiet of Cache Valley in northern Utah.

The 5-foot-8 back didn't have many choices. But after biding his time behind a player now in the NFL, Williams has a chance to be part of history when No. 25 Utah State faces Idaho on Saturday.

A win would give the Aggies their first 10-win season and first outright league championship since 1936.

Williams already made sure the Aggies guaranteed themselves a share of the Western Athletic Conference title with a 48-41 overtime win last weekend over then-No. 19 Louisiana Tech. He had 303 all-purpose yards, including an 86-yard TD reception on the Aggies' first play from scrimmage and the game-winning 4-yard run in OT.
