Toluca cruised to a comfortable 3-1 victory over Guadalajara at Nemesio Diez on Saturday, easing through to the next round of the Apertura playoffs with a 5-2 aggregate score.

After taking a 2-1 win in the opening leg, Toluca was unable to add to its lead in the first half of Saturday's return match.

But the home side exploded for three goals in the second half as Tiago Wilson Mathias opened the scoring in the 56th minute before Lucas Silva and Juan Carlos Cacho extended Toluca's lead.

Erick Estefano Torres Padilla pulled one back for Chivas nine minutes from time, but the damage was already done.

Elsewhere in the Apertura playoffs, Tijuana advanced with a 1-1 draw against Monterrey, Leon went through after its 3-0 defeat of Cruz Azul, and Morelia was ousted on aggregate despite picking up a 2-1 win over America.
