Red Bull New York declined to pick up the team contract options on 10 players, including midfielders Jan Gunnar Solli and Teemu Tainio on Monday.
Solli joined New York in January 2011 from Norwegian side Brann and went on to appear in 55 games over the course of two seasons with the club, totaling three goals and 12 assists.
A former Finland international, Tainio signed with the Red Bulls in 2011 and notched one assist in 14 appearances this past season.
In his two years with New York, the former Ajax man started 37 games and appeared in 42 total.
The other players whose contract options were not picked up on Monday include forwards Jose Angulo, Jhonny Arteaga and Corey Hertzog, defenders Jonathan Borrajo, Stephen Keel and Tyler Ruthven and goalkeepers Bill Gaudette and Jeremy Vuolo.
All 10 players will enter the MLS Waiver Draft.
