U.S. Women's Open champion Na Yeon Choi won the Titleholders on Sunday to make a great season even better.
Choi finally pulled away from So Yeon Ryu with a wedge that had to hit a tiny spot on a green she couldn't see. It settled about 3 feet away for birdie, and a par on the last hole gave her a 2-under 70 and a two-shot win. The 25-year-old from South Korea won for the second time this year, and the $500,000 first-place check pushed her season earnings to a career-best $1.9 million.
Ryu (70) was tied for the lead until a three-putt bogey on the 14th hole, and she never caught up.
Inbee Park locked up the money title and the Vare Trophy for lowest scoring average.
