Michael Higdon and Jamie Murphy scored three minutes part in the first half, sparking Motherwell to a 5-1 win against Inverness on Sunday at Caledonian Stadium in the Scottish Premier League.

Higdon scored in the 18th minute and Murphy in the 21st minute and second-half goals Adam Cummins, Henrik Ojamaa and Omar Daley sealed the road win. The Well climbed to fourth in the standings, five points behind first-place Celtic.

Richie Foran scored for Inverness, which had an eight-match undefeated streak snapped. Inverness slipped to seventh, but just six points off the summit.
