Ryley Beaumont hit a 3-pointer with 1:28 left in overtime and Elon held on for a 62-59 victory over Florida Atlantic on Sunday.

Beaumont's trey put the Phoenix (3-1) up 60-56. Jack Isenbarger netted nine of his team-leading 16 points in the overtime, including two free throws with two seconds left.

Florida Atlantic (1-3) led 31-22 at halftime and stretched the advantage to 37-24 before Elon began its comeback charge. Lucas Troutman scored seven points during a 15-2 Phoenix scoring run that knotted the game 39-all with 8:07 left in regulation.

The Owls twice retook the lead in the second half, but both times, Isenbarger made a basket to either tie or put Elon ahead. Greg Gantt's jumper for Florida Atlantic squared the score at 48-all with 1:47 to play, and marked the last bucket in regulation.

Freshman Stefan Moody led the Owls with a career-best 22 points.
