Terrence Lefall ran 41 times for 253 yards and two touchdowns to help Howard come from behind to beat Delaware State 41-34 Saturday.

Trailing 24-3 early in the third quarter following a 79-yard interception returned for a touchdown by Delaware State's Nick Williams, Lefall sparked a furious comeback by Howard (7-4, 6-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference)

Lefall's 9-yard touchdown cut the deficit to 24-10, and the Bison outscored the Hornets (6-5, 5-3) 31-10 the rest of the game.

Greg McGhee found Stewart Hartman to tie the game at 34-all late in the third quarter and Lefall gave Howard its first lead 31-24 on a 3-yard run with 14:39 left in the fourth quarter.

Howard sealed the win on Delaware State's next possession when Keith Pough returned a fumble 36 yards for a score and a 38-24 advantage.

Howard gained 292 yards on the ground in the second half.
