A person familiar with the situation says the Chicago Cubs have agreed on terms of a contract with former All-Star catcher Dioner Navarro.

The person spoke Thursday on condition of anonymity because the team has not announced details and terms were not immediately known. MLB.com first reported the deal.

Navarro was an All-Star with Tampa Bay in 2008 and spent most of the past season in Cincinnati's minor-league system. He hit .290 in 24 games for the Reds last year.
