Everton striker Kevin Mirallas is expected to miss only a short time because of a hamstring injury after it was initially feared he could be out for up to a month.

Mirallas was forced off the field inside of 30 minutes in Everton's 2-1 win against Sunderland over the weekend, but after undergoing tests, the 25-year- old is only expected to miss one match for the Toffees, which will come this Saturday at Reading.

Signed over the summer from Greek side Olympiacos, Mirallas has tallied one goal and two assists in 10 league games in his first season at Goodison Park.
