Jason Day and Nick Watney birdied the final hole of regulation, then Day birdied the second playoff hole Tuesday to give the PGA Tour the win at the Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge.

The PGA Tour and LPGA squad finished at 19-under 53 before heading to the extra session at Rio Secco Golf Club.

Watney and Cristie Kerr parred the first playoff hole. After Stacy Lewis missed an 8-footer for birdie, Day drained his 5-foot try to give his team the victory.

Day and Watney were joined by Davis Love III on the winning PGA team. The PGA won this event for the second time in the last three years and for the ninth time overall.

Kerr and Lewis teamed with Natalie Gulbis for the LPGA squad. Kerr was a late replacement for Suzann Pettersen, who is battling a shoulder injury.

The Champions Tour team featured Fred Funk, Bernhard Langer and Tom Lehman. They finished five strokes off the pace at 14-under 58. Mark Calcavecchia, Jay Haas and Kenny Perry won this title for the Champions Tour last year.
