Chicago, IL – The Chicago Cubs and pitcher Scott Baker have agreed to a one-year contract.
Financial terms for the former Minnesota Twins right-hander were not disclosed.
Baker missed the entire 2012 campaign recovering from Tommy John surgery. He was 8-6 with a 3.14 ERA in 23 games, including 21 starts, during the 2011 season for the Twins.
The 31-year-old veteran owns a career mark of 63-48 with a 4.15 ERA in 163 games, all but four as a starter. He was selected by the Twins in the second round of the 2003 draft.
