Robbie Rouse rushed for 261 yards and two touchdowns and Fresno State tied a school record with three defensive touchdowns in beating Nevada 52-36 on Saturday.

Rouse had 36 carries and touchdowns runs of 1 and 39 yard for the Bulldogs (8-3, 6-1 Mountain West).

Fresno State's defensive touchdowns came on a 34-yard interception return by Derron Smith, a fumble recovery in the end zone by Tyeler Davidson and a 26-yard fumble recovery and return by Travis Brown, which put Fresno State up 38-21 with 8:45 left in the third quarter.

Bulldog quarterback Derek Carr completed 17 of 35 passes for 220 yards and two touchdowns. He hit Davante Adams from 36 yards out in the first quarter and connected with Marcel Jensen from 32 yards out late in the second quarter to tie the game at 21 just before halftime.

Stefphon Jefferson rushed for 95 yards and three touchdowns for Nevada (6-4, 3-3), which lost its third consecutive game.

Wolf Pack quarterback Cody Fajardo was 21 of 39 for 214 yards and one touchdown, but was intercepted twice and fumbled a ball into the end zone on the Wolf Pack's opening drive of the second half. Davidson recovered it the first of 24 unanswered points by the Bulldogs in the third quarter.
