Jordan Swing and Robert Williams scored 17 points apiece to lead six Alabama-Birmingham players in double figures as the Blazers trounced Young Harris 105-59 Saturday night in coach Jerod Haase's debut.

UAB shot 53.6 percent from the field (37 of 69) while limiting the Division II Mountain Lions to 27.7 percent (18 of 65).

The Blazers also made 20 of 24 free throws and outrebounded Young Harris 53-33, with Rod Rucker leading the way with 10 boards.

Fahro Alihodzic added 16 points, Jekore Tyler scored 15 and Terence Jones and Preston Purifoy had 13 apiece for UAB, which led 51-34 at the break

Malcolm Jackson led Young Harris, which counted the game as an exhibition, with 16 points.

UAB is one of only six schools that do not have a freshman on the roster. The other five schools are Ohio, Portland State, Savannah State, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and Valparaiso.
