Lazio's tough run of form in Serie A play continued on Sunday as it was thrashed 4-0 by Catania at the Stadio Angelo Massimino.

Alejandro Gomez bagged a brace and Francesco Lodi added a goal from the penalty spot to put the home side up by three goals inside the opening half- hour.

Pablo Barrientos notched a goal in the 69th minute to complete the rout and put the finishing touches on Lazio's second loss in three Serie A contests.

Catania improves to 15 points through 11 games with Sunday's victory, which snapped a three-game winless run.

Lazio remains stuck on 19 points having taken just a point from its last three games.

Fiorentina 4, Cagliari 1

Florence, Italy - Three second-half goals saw Fiorentina cruise to a third straight victory on Sunday as the club eased past Cagliari 4-1 at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Fiorentina's Gonzalo and Cagliari's Federico Casarini exchanged goals in the opening half, but it was all Fiorentina after the restart as Stevan Jovetic, Luca Toni and Juan Cuardado bagged a goal apiece to lift the club to fourth place with 21 points.

Cagliari's four-game winning run in league play comes to an end, leaving the club12th in the table on 14 points.

Napoli 1, Torino 1

Naples, Italy - Napoli threw away two points at the Stadio San Paolo on Sunday, conceding a late goal to Gianluca Sansone in their 1-1 draw with Torino.

Edinson Cavani gave Napoli an early lead with a goal after just five minutes, a lead that it held until second-half stoppage time when Sansone earned Torino its second consecutive draw.

Napoli remains in third place with 23 points, while Torino improves to 11 points.

Bologna 1, Udinese 1

Bologna, Italy - Antonio Di Natale salvaged a draw for Udinese at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara on Sunday, scoring in the 73rd minute to level the score in the club's 1-1 draw with Bologna.

After a scoreless first half, Alessandro Diamanti got the second period underway with a goal inside the opening minute. But it was all for naught as Di Natale's equalizer sees Udinese remain unbeaten over a four-game stretch.

Bologna remains second from bottom on eight points, six points behind Udinese.

Atalanta 2, Sampdoria 1

Genoa, Italy - Sampdoria saw its losing skid in Serie A play extended to six games on Sunday, falling to Atalanta 2-1 at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

Giacomo Bonaventura's second-minute opener was canceled out by Enzo Maresca eight minutes into the second half. Sampdoria thought it was on its way to a draw, but Giuseppe De Luca scored 14 minutes from time to see Atalanta climb into the top-half of the table with 15 points.

Sampdoria remains just shy of the relegation zone with 10 points thorugh 11 games.

Siena 1, Genoa 0

Siena, Italy - Massimo Paci scored the lone goal in Siena's 1-0 defeat of Genoa at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Sunday.

Paci's strike in the 54th minute sees Siena inch closer to a spot out of the Serie A cellar as it improves to six points on the season.

Genoa has lost four straight in league play to remain stuck on nine points.

Pescara 2, Parma 0

Pescara, Italy - Pescara claimed its first Serie A win since September 30 on Sunday, topping Parma 2-0 at the Stadio Adriatico.

Elvis Abbruscato produced the deciding goal in the 48th minute and Vladimir Weiss put the match on ice in stoppage time, helping Pescara improve to 11 points on the season.

Parma sees its three-game winning run in league play come to end, staying put on 15 points.

Roma 4, Palermo 1

Rome, Italy - Erik Lamela scored his seventh goal this season as Roma rolled to a 4-1 win over Palermo on Sunday at the Stadio Olimpico in Serie A.

Francesco Totti, Pablo Daniel Osvaldo and Mattia Destro also scored for Roma, which snapped a two-game losing streak. Roma is 11 points out of first place in sixth.

Palermo had a five-game unbeaten streak snapped, although the last four were draws.
