The Houston Astros outrighted outfielders Brian Bogusevic and J.B. Shuck, and pitchers Chuckie Fick, Jorge De Leon and Arcenio Leon off their 40-man roster Saturday.

Bogusevic, De Leon and Shuck all cleared waivers and will become free agents, while Fick was assigned to Triple-A Oklahoma City and Leon was claimed by the Milwaukee Brewers.

Bogusevic hit .203 with seven home runs and 28 RBI over 146 games last season.

Shuck spent last season with Oklahoma City, batting .298 with 11 doubles and 33 runs batted in through 115 games. He appeared in 37 games for Houston in 2011 and hit .272 with two doubles and three RBI.

Fick pitched to an 0-1 record with a 4.38 earned run average in 20 relief appearances between the Astros and St. Louis Cardinals last year.

De Leon and Leon have yet to appear in the majors.

De Leon went 2-9 with a 7.70 ERA and six saves in 40 games (14 starts) for Single-A Lancaster last season, and Leon posted a 3-2 record with a 4.38 ERA and two saves over 63 2/3 innings for Double-A Corpus Christi in 2012.
