Texas coach Mack Brown has seen quarterbacks like Seth Doege at No. 20 Texas Tech.

Doege and the Red Raiders receivers on Saturday will challenge a Texas pass defense that's giving up 229 yards a game, while Texas Tech is averaging 358 passing yards.

Brown thinks Doege, who's thrown for 30 touchdowns and 2,540 yards this season, is one of the nation's best quarterbacks and similar in accuracy and competitiveness to former Red Raiders quarterbacks Graham Harrell and Kliff Kingsbury.

Quarterback David Ash, pulled from the Kansas game last week, will start for the Longhorns.

Texas (6-2, 3-2 Big 12) has won two straight, while Texas Tech (6-2, 3-2) is looking to rebound from a loss at No. 3 Kansas State last week.
