Braga remained within three points of leaders Benfica and FC Porto on Sunday as Eder scored a pair of goals in a 2-0 win at Maritimo.

Eder's first tally arrived in the 55th minute and he wrapped up the victory with another four minutes from time, giving him six goals on the season.

Maritimo then had Romain Salin sent off in the 89th and the club remains in the middle of the league table having lost three of its last four games.

FC Porto needed a second-half rally to secure a 2-1 win at Estoril on Sunday after the defending champions fell behind to a 10th-minute goal from Vitoria.

But Silvestre Varela and Jackson Martinez scored four minutes apart in the second half to keep Porto level at the top of the league with Benfica, which scored three times in the first half of a 3-0 triumph at Gil Vicente on Saturday.

Guimaraes and Setubal each had a player sent off in the first half but an 80th-minute penalty kick from Joao Ribeiro was the difference as Guimaraes claimed a 2-1 win on Friday.

Pacos Ferreira netted two goals in the final 10 minutes of a 2-0 victory at Beira Mar, Rui Duarte scored two goals from the penalty spot for Olhanense, but the team had to settle for a 2-2 draw, Rio Ave got two goals in the second half to beat 10-man Nacional, 2-1, and Sporting Lisbon tied Academica, 0-0, on Monday.
