Gonzalo Higuain and Cristiano Ronaldo each scored twice as Real Madrid rolled to a 5-0 victory over Mallorca on Sunday at Iberostar Stadium in La Liga.

Higuain started the scoring in the eighth minute, and Ronaldo scored his first 14 minutes later to send Real into halftime with a two-goal advantage. Higuain added his second in the 70th, and Ronaldo followed three minutes later as both completed their braces.

Jose Callejon added a fifth goal in stoppage time as Real sealed its fifth win in its last six league matches to rebound from a 2-1 loss at Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Real Madrid is fourth in the standings, and just eight points off the pace of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

Mallorca lost its fourth straight since starting the season unbeaten in five in a row, and is 14 points off the pace in 10th place.

Atletico Madrid 3, Osasuna 1

Madrid, Spain - Falcao scored his 11th La Liga goal this season, second only to Lionel Messi of Barcelona, as Atletico Madrid beat Osasuna, 3-1, on Sunday at the Vicente Calderon to remain unbeaten.

Miranda and Raul Garcia scored four minutes apart in the first half for Madrid and, after Roland Lamah pulled a goal back before half for Osasuna, Falcao was on target 18 minutes from time to seal the win for Atletico.

Messi leads La Liga with 13 goals for first-place Barca.

With eight wins and a draw through nine fixtures, Atletico is level on points with Barcelona, but second on goal differential.

Osasuna suffered its league-leading sixth loss, and sits last in the standings with just five points.

Getafe 2, Athletic Bilbao 1

Bilbao, Spain - Juan Rodriguez and Alvaro Vasquez scored as Getafe won for the third time in its last four La Liga matches Sunday, 2-1, over Athletic Bilbao at San Mames.

Rodriguez opened the scoring in the 12th minute and Vasquez secured a road win with a goal just two minutes before the hour mark. Getafe had just one win in its first five games, but has nine points from its last four to surge into the top half of the standings.

Mikel San Jose scored four minutes into extra time for Bilbao, which continued to struggle as it lost for the third time in its last four to remain near the bottom of the table in 16th place, just one point out of the bottom three.

Levante 3, Granada 1

Valencia, Spain - Obafemi Martins scored twice as Levante won for the fifth time in its last six La Liga matches, 3-1 over Granada on Sunday at the Ciutat de Valencia.

Martins scored in the 12th and 60th minutes to give Levante a two-goal cushion and Pedro Rios pushed the lead to three goals in the 73rd, making a late goal from Youssef El Arabi for Granada meaningless.

With 15 points from its last six matches, Levante has moved into the European places. Granada lost its second straight and is just three points off the foot of the standings.

Real Zaragoza 2, Sevilla 1

Aragon, Spain - Helder Postiga and Cristian Sapunaru scored in the first half as Real Zaragoza edged Sevilla, 2-1, on Sunday at the Estadio La Romareda for its second straight win and a place in the top half of La Liga.

Postiga opened the scoring nine minutes before half and Sapunaru followed just before the break, sparking Zaragoza to its fourth win against five losses this season.

Gary Medel scored midway through the second half for Sevilla, which lost for the third time in its last four matches.
