South Carolina Gamecocks running back Marcus Lattimore left Saturday's 38-35 victory over Tennessee in the second quarter with an apparent right leg injury.

Lattimore was running to the left side, when a Vols defender's helmet struck his knee with full force.

The junior was down on the turf in obvious pain for several minutes, and was eventually lifted off the turf by training staff and removed from the field on a cart. He was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.

Lattimore's 2011 season was cut short after he suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
