American hurdler Lolo Jones has been named to the United States bobsled team.

Jones, a two-time Olympic hurdler and the American record-holder in the 100 meter hurdles, was among the 24 athletes selected for the team. She will now have a chance to compete in this winter's World Cup circuit and possibly vie for a spot in the 2014 Winter Games.

Jones finished seventh in the 100-meter hurdles at the 2008 Games in Beijing, then was fourth in London this summer.

Another Olympic track star, Tianna Madison, was also selected for the women's team. Madison was part of the 4x100-meter relay team that won gold in London.

Both were chosen as a push athlete, whose job it is to push the sled before jumping in for the ride.
