The sixth-seeded Russian Youzhny tackled American Brian Baker 6-3, 6-1, while the eighth-seeded Finnish Nieminen defeated German Tobias Kamke 6-3, 6-4 on the indoor courts at The Royal Lawn Tennis Club of Stockholm. The top seeds this week are former Australian Open runner-up Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France and former Wimbledon finalist Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic.
