Gavin McCarney passed for two touchdowns and ran for a third, and Jordan McCord scored four times to lead Colgate to a 51-35 victory over Holy Cross on Saturday in Patriot League play.

The Raiders (3-3, 1-0) amassed 604 yards of total offense. McCarney accounted for 352 himself, rushing for 166 yards and a 51-yard touchdown for the game's first score. He also passed for 186 yards and two more touchdowns.

McCord, meanwhile, carried 34 times for 181 yards. His touchdowns, all short yardage, came on runs of 3, 3, 7 and 8 yards.

For Holy Cross (1-5, 1-1), quarterback Steven Elder excelled in a losing effort. He completed 24 of 39 passes for 313 yards and two touchdowns. Both went to Gerald Mistretta, who had eight receptions for 166 yards and two touchdowns, including a 63-yarder for the Crusaders' first score. Elder also ran for two touchdowns.
