Cards RB Williams out for the season with shoulder injury

Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt announced Monday that running back Ryan Williams will miss the rest of the season with a shoulder injury he suffered against the St. Louis Rams last Thursday.

A second-round pick out of Virginia Tech in the 2011 draft, Williams missed all of his rookie campaign last year with a ruptured patellar tendon in his right knee.

The 22-year-old tallied 164 yards rushing on 58 carries and caught seven balls for 44 yards this season.
