Towson, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - Towson is no longer perfect because Villanova quarterback John Robertson was nearly perfect in the No. 15 Wildcats' 45-35 CAA Football triumph over the third-ranked Tigers Saturday night.
Robertson, who won the 2012 Jerry Rice Award as the FCS freshman of the year, completed 17-of-18 pass attempts for 182 yards and two touchdowns, and rushed for 150 yards and three touchdowns on 32 carries.
Villanova (4-2, 3-0) dominated the game clock, jumping to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter and 38-14 by halftime.
Towson (6-1, 2-1) committed five turnovers. Peter Athens threw for 326 yards and two touchdowns, while Terrance West rushed for 61 yards and two touchdowns.

No. 5 Eastern Illinois (5-1, 2-0 OVC) 63, Austin Peay (0-6, 0-2) 7
Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was 21-for-30 for 306 yards and five touchowns, and rushed for one more score, to fuel Eastern Illinois. Erik Lora caught five passes for 133 yards and three touchdowns.

Missouri State (1-6, 1-2) 26
Zach Vraa caught five passes for 179 yards and two of the three touchdowns that Brock Jensen threw in top-ranked North Dakota State's 15th straight win dating to last season. Jensen passed for a career-high 313 yards before a record crowd of 19,108 at NDSU's Fargodome.
No. 2 Sam Houston State (5-1, 1-0 Southland) 14, Lamar (3-3, 0-1) 3
In a game delayed two hours by lightning, Sam Houston State quarterback Brian Bell threw for one touchdown and passed for another one. The Bearkats have won four straight games.
Southern Illinois (4-3, 2-1 Missouri Valley) 24,
No. 4 Northern Iowa (4-2, 0-2) 17, OT
Southern Illinois stunned Northern Iowa on Homecoming at the UNI-Dome as Korey Faulkner threw for 252 yards and two touchdowns, and Malcolm Agnew scored the winning touchdown on a 5-yard run in overtime.
UNI running back David Johnson managed only 19 yards on 11 carries.
No. 6 Eastern Washington (4-2, 2-0 Big Sky) 35, North Dakota (2-4, 1-2) 14
Vernon Adams passed for 307 yards and two touchdowns and Eastern Washington forced four turnovers, including three fumbles. Linebacker Ronnie Hamlin turned the one interception into a 77-yard return for a touchdown.
No. 8 Coastal Carolina (6-0, 1-0 Big South) 42, Gardner-Webb (4-3, 0-1) 7
Lorenzo Taliaferro rushed for 144 yards and three touchdowns, sparking Coastal Carolina, which only held the ball for 22 minutes, 35 seconds. Linebacker Quinn Backus scored on a 73-yard interception return.
No. 10 Fordham (7-0) 34, Georgetown (1-5) 12
Michael Nebrich was 34-of-45 for 405 yards and one touchdown, adding another 51 yards and touchdown on the ground. Tebucky Jones had 12 receptions for 182 yards.
No. 11 Montana (5-1, 2-1 Big Sky) 42, UC Davis (2-5, 2-1) 7
Montana's Jordan Canada carried the ball 24 times for 126 yards and two touchdowns, while quarterback Jordan Johnson connected on two touchdown passes to Ellis Henderson.
No. 12 Wofford (4-2, 3-0 Southern) 31, Elon (2-5, 1-2) 27
Will Gay's 66-yard touchdown reception from James Lawson with 5:55 left to play held up when the Wofford defense stopped Elon on 4th-and-goal from inside the 2-yard line as time ran out. Jonny Martin rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
No. 13 South Dakota State (4-3, 1-2 Missouri Valley) 38,
Western Illinois (3-4, 1-2) 14
South Dakota State ended a three-game losing streak as Austin Sumner threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns against two interceptions, and Zach Zenner rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns. The Jackrabbits intercepted WIU's Trenton Norvell four times.
No. 16 Bethune-Cookman (5-1, 2-0 MEAC) 27, Howard (1-5, 0-3) 6
Bethune-Cookman held an opponent under 10 points for the fourth time this season, limiting Howard to 186 total yards. Anthony Jordan rushed for two first-quarter touchdowns in the win.
No. 17 Lehigh (5-1) 24, Columbia (0-4) 10
Lehigh's Brandon Bialkowski was 33-of-50 for 320 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions, while his favorite receiver, Lee Kurfis, hauled in 14 catches for 130 yards and two touchdowns.
No. 18 Youngstown State (6-1, 3-0 Missouri Valley) 59,
Illinois State (2-4, 1-2) 21
Quarterback Kurt Hess was 17-of-21 for 311 yards and four touchdowns - all to different receivers - in Youngstown State's easy victory. He also rushed for a 16-yard TD.
No. 19 Northern Arizona (4-2, 2-1 Big Sky) 39, Sacramento State (3-4, 2-1) 38
Northern Arizona scored the final 18 points after falling behind 38-21 in the third quarter. Chase Cartwright and Kyren Poe combined to pass for 402 yards and four touchdowns, and Zach Bauman rushed for 196 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries.
No. 20 Central Arkansas (3-3) 31, Nebraska-Kearney (0-5) 0
Central Arkansas quarterback Wynrick Smothers threw for 177 yards and ran for one touchdown, but left the game in the second quarter with an ankle injury. The Bears outgained Nebraska-Kearney, 462 yards to 169.
No. 21 James Madison (5-2, 2-1 CAA) 38, Richmond (2-4, 0-2) 31
James Madison built a 38-16 lead in the fourth quarter and held on for its second straight CAA Football win. Dejor Simmons' 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown highlighted the win.
No. 22 Georgia Southern (4-2, 2-2 Southern) 28, The Citadel (2-5, 2-3) 21
In a matchup of teams that run the triple option, Georgia Southern won out as Jerick McKinnon rushed for 198 yards and two touchdowns and fellow quarterback Kevin Ellison had 273 yards of total offense as well as the game-winning 4-yard TD run with 1:59 to go.
Georgia Southern held the ball for 39:38.
No. 23 Samford (5-2, 3-0 SoCon) 34, Appalachian State (1-5, 1-2) 10
Samford returned to a first-place tie with Wofford atop the Southern Conference by beating reeling Appalachian State for the first time since 1970. Fabian Truss had 217 all-purpose yards.
Appalachian State's 10 points were the fewest it has scored at home since a 24-10 loss to Marshall on Oct. 26, 1996.
Tennessee State (6-1, 2-1 OVC) 31, No. 24 Jacksonville State (5-2, 2-1) 15
Tennessee State pushed its winning streak to six as Michael German threw for three touchdowns and Ronald Butler added one more. Jacksonville State used three different quarterbacks and had five players throw passes.
No. 25 New Hampshire (2-3, 1-1 CAA) 59, Rhode Island (2-5, 1-3) 19
Sean Goldrich accounted for three touchdowns (two passing, one rushing) and Nico Steriti's 150 yards and two touchdowns on the ground led New Hampshire's 333-yard rushing attack. The Wildcats scored 38 unanswered points after leading 14-12 in the second quarter.
