Nigel Hasselbaink and Murray Davidson had first-half goals as St. Johnstone edged St. Mirren, 2-1, on Saturday for its fourth straight win in the Scottish Premier League.

Hasselbaink scored in the 22nd minute and Davidson followed in the 37th as St. Johnstone extended its unbeaten streak to five matches. St. Johnstone dropped three of its first four matches, but has been on a roll since.

Lewis Guy scored in the second half for St. Mirren, which has lost two of its last three matches. St. Johnstone is just one point off the summit in fourth place. St. Mirren is three off the pace in seventh.

Eoin Doyle, Leigh Griffiths and David Wotherspoon scored as Hibernian moved to the top of the league ahead of idle Celtic with a 3-0 win over Dundee. Hibs is top of the table on 15 points, one ahead of a pack of three clubs. Dundee sits last with four points after its fourth straight loss.

Gavin Rae and Niall McGinn each scored their third goals of the campaign as Aberdeen extended its unbeaten streak to eight matches with a 3-1 win against Kilmarnock. Aberdeen is one point off the top in third. Killie is three back in sixth.
