Barcelona, Spain – Barcelona will be without midfielder Thiago Alcantara for the next eight weeks because of a knee injury.
Thiago sustained the problem in Barca's 3-2 comeback win on Saturday after entering the match in the second half as a substitute for Sergio Busquets.
Tests confirmed that the 22-year-old had suffered a medial ligament tear in his right knee during the match, and could miss up to eight weeks.
The setback comes after Thiago missed out on Euro 2012 and the Olympics because of a shin injury this past summer.
