David Villa scored three minutes into extra time as Barcelona overcame a two-goal deficit against 10-man Sevilla for a 3-2 win Saturday at the Sanchez Pizjuan in La Liga.
Cesc Fabregas scored consecutive goals around a red card to Gary Medel, as the visitors erased the early deficit and stole three points when substitute Villa found the winner at the death as Barca remained perfect through six matches.
Sevilla lost for the first time, as it slipped seven points off the pace.
Piotr Trochowski and Alvaro Negredo scored as Sevilla built a two-goal lead in the first 48 minutes, but Fabregas pulled the first goal back in the 53rd and tied the match with one minute left in normal time.
Trochowski bagged the opener off a turnover in midfield, and he finished from the left side of the area to the bottom right in the 26th. Negredo doubled the lead in the 48th with a finish to the left post.
But Fabregas pulled the first goal back minutes later, and Lionel Messi set up the two late goals to rescue full points for Barca. Messi put Fabregas into space for an easy finish following an uncalled handball on Barca that began the build up, and then found Villa in stoppage time for the winner.
Villa received a return pass from Messi to complete a nice give-and-go and was able to score past Sevilla goalkeeper Andres Palop.
