Celtic bounced back from a defeat at St. Johnstone last weekend with a 2-0 home triumph over Dundee on Saturday.

Celtic played out a 0-0 draw with Benfica in the Champions League on Wednesday, but the Hoops got back to winning ways on Saturday as Gary Hooper gave the club the lead on the stroke of halftime after Scott Brown had a penalty kick saved by Dundee goalkeeper Robert Douglas a few minutes earlier.

Despite dominating the first half, the Hoops only led 1-0 at the start of the second half.

However, Victor Wanyama gave the hosts a bit of breathing room as he was set by a pass from Emilio Izaguirre in the 49th minute and beat Douglas with a shot that caromed in off the post.

Hibernian is one point clear of Celtic in second place after being held to a 2-2 draw at home by Inverness.

Hibs took a 2-0 lead with goals from Eoin Doyle and David Wotherspoon in the first 30 minutes, but Conor Pepper pulled a goal back for the visitors before halftime, while Richie Foran netted the equalizer nine minutes from time.

Hearts got two goals from Callum Paterson in a 3-0 win at Dundee United, Kilmarnock won for the second time this season as the club downed St Mirren, 3-1, and St Johnstone handed Ross County its first defeat of the campaign as Frazer Wright netted the winning goal four minutes from time.
