Nneka Ogwumike poured in 30 points on 10- of-15 shooting as the Los Angeles Sparks topped the Chicago Sky, 86-77, at Staples Center on Thursday.

The Stanford product pulled down 11 rebounds and made 10-of-12 free throws, while DeLisha Milton-Jones contributed 19 points for the Sparks, who had lost three of their last four entering Thursday.

Alana Beard and Candice Parker donated 13 and 11 points, respectively, in the victory.

Swin Cash scored 23 points and Epiphanny Prince dropped in 19 points for the Sky, who had won three of their last four games. Tamera Young added 12 points in the setback.

Los Angeles came flying out of the gate, winning the first quarter by a 27-18 margin. The Sparks held a 44-35 lead at the break, but Chicago made it a game in the third, outscoring Los Angeles, 22-17, to pull within 61-57 heading into the fourth quarter.

Los Angeles outscored Chicago by five in the fourth to hold on for the victory. The Sparks shot 49 percent from the floor and led by as many as 15.
