The Vancouver Canucks re-signed forward Alexandre Burrows to a 4-year contract on Friday.

No financial terms were disclosed, but multiple sources indicate the pact is worth $18 million.

Burrows had one year remaining on his current deal, which was set to pay him $2 million. He was in line to become an unrestricted free agent following the upcoming season.

The 31-year-old winger totaled 28 goals and 52 points with a plus-24 rating in 80 games last season, his seventh with the franchise.

Over 522 games, all in Vancouver since 2005, the Quebec native has registered 139 goals and 131 assists with 771 penalty minutes. Of his 29 career playoff points, 17 came during the Canucks' failed run to the Finals in 2011.
