Kyung-Tae Kim rallies to win by one in Japan

Kyung-Tae Kim closed with a 3-under 68 on Sunday to come from behind and win the Fujisankei Classic.

Kim finished his fifth Japan Golf Tour win at 8-under-par 276.

On his 26th birthday, Kim was even-par for his round through 13 holes. To that point he had two birdies and two bogeys, but a hot closing stretch gave him the title.

Kim converted back-to-back birdie efforts at the 14th and 15th at Fujizakura Country Club. He birdied the 18th to finish at minus-8.

Yuta Ikeda carded a 4-under 67 to take second at 7-under-par 277. Third-round leader Prayad Marksaeng stumbled to a 2-over 73 to slide into a share of third at minus-6. He was joined there by Hiroyuki Fujita (70).

Last week's winner Hyung-Sung Kim faltered to a 2-over 73 in the final round to drop into a share of sixth at minus-4.
