Reigning champion Novak Djokovic cruised past Frenchman Julien Benneteau on Sunday to reach the fourth round of the U.S. Open.

The second-seeded former world No. 1 Djokovic drubbed Benneteau 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 in 97 minutes at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Djokovic currently holds two of the four Grand Slam titles, as he also won this year's Australian Open in addition to his 2011 U.S. Open championship when he beat Rafael Nadal in the final at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

The 25-year-old Djokovic has reached the round of 16 here for the sixth straight year.

Djokovic is also a two-time U.S. Open runner-up (2007, 2010).
