Cornerback Dominique Franks was part of the final cutdown to the 53-man roster Friday for the Atlanta Falcons.

A fifth-round draft choice by the Falcons in the 2010 NFL Draft, Franks recorded 16 tackles and three interceptions in 16 career games with Atlanta.

The Falcons also waived linebackers Pat Schiller, Jerrell Harris, Spencer Adkins and Rico Council, wide receivers James Rodgers, Marcus Jackson and Drew Davis, cornerbacks Peyton Thompson, Marty Markett and Dominique Franks, tackle Bryce Harris, center Tyler Horn, running back Dimitri Nance, defensive tackles Conrad Obi and Micanor Regis and safety Suaesi Tuimaunei.

Safety Shann Schillinger was placed on injured reserve and fullback Mike Cox and long snapper Joe Zelenka were released.

In addition, the Falcons reached injury settlements with tight end Lamark Brown and guard Andrew Jackson and waived/injured wide receiver Kerry Meier.
