Boston, MA – The Boston Red Sox suspended pitcher Alfredo Aceves for three games Saturday for conduct detrimental to the team.
Aceves, 29, is 2-8 with 25 saves and a 4.60 ERA in 62 2/3 innings for the Red Sox this season.
Aceves' suspension began Saturday with the Red Sox and Royals meeting at Fenway Park.
