Colorado Rockies center fielder Dexter Fowler sprained his right ankle in the fourth inning of Wednesday's 5-2 win against the New York Mets.

With Jonathan Herrera at first base, Fowler grounded a single into right field.

The throw to first base went awry and Fowler cruised into second base. As he touched the base, Fowler's right foot bent awkwardly and he collapsed to the ground in pain, holding his ankle.

Fowler was helped off the field by two trainers and Jordan Pacheco entered as a pinch-runner.

In 114 games this season, Fowler is hitting .307 with 12 home runs and 44 RBI.
