Sam Bradford threw a pair of touchdown passes to lead the St. Louis Rams to a 31-17 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in preseason action.

Bradford was 6-of-9 for 102 yards, while Danny Amendola had three receptions for 58 yards and a score. Lance Kendricks hauled in the other TD pass from Bradford and finished the contest with two catches for 34 yards.

Steven Jackson carried the ball seven times for 49 yards for the Rams.

Matt Cassel completed 13-of-18 passes for 142 yards and Kevin Boss had four catches for 62 yards for Kansas City.

Peyton Hillis had five rushes for 11 yards and a score and Jamal Charles had three carries for 17 yards.

The Rams jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead as Bradford found Kendricks for a 23- yard touchdown to conclude their opening, four-play 80-yard drive and after Harvey Dahl recovered a Jon Baldwin fumble just two plays into Kansas City's first possession, Bradford flipped an eight-yard score to Amendola five plays into St. Louis' ensuing march.

Hillis punched it in from a yard out to cap a 10-play, 80-yard trek early in the second quarter before Greg Zuerlein and Ryan Succop exchanged field goals, which made it 17-10 in favor of St. Louis heading into the break.

Isaiah Pead had a one-yard TD run in the third quarter and Daryl Richardson punched it in from four yards out in the final stanza for St. Louis. Brady Quinn, who was 5-for-6 for 70 yards, hit Jeremy Horne for a 38-yard strike later in the frame to conclude the scoring.
