Chris Wilson birdied the first playoff hole on Sunday to beat Scott Harrington and win the Price Cutter Charity Championship.

Wilson closed with a 5-under 67 to end at 21-under-par 267. Harrington, who shared the third-round lead, posted a 4-under 68 to force the playoff at Highland Springs Country Club.

As Harrington was stumbling to a bogey after dumping his second into the water, Wilson calmly 2-putted for birdie on the par-5 18th to earn his first Web.com Tour win.

"It's comforting knowing I can perform when it matters most. Anyone can do it in practice," Wilson said.

Andy Winings fired a 7-under 65 to take third at minus-20.

Matt Hendrix (66) and Camilo Benedetti (68) shared fourth at 19-under 269. David Lingmerth, who shared the third-round lead with Harrington, managed a 1- under 71 to tie for sixth at minus-18.

Ben Kohles' winning streak ended at two. He closed with a 4-under 68 to finish well back at 8-under-par 280.

Wilson, who was in the penultimate group, parred the first nine holes. He birdied the 10th, then eagled the par-5 11th from 20 feet out to move to 19- under. He was one back at that point as Lingmerth, Harrington and Stuart Anderson traded the lead on the front nine.

As the final group started the back nine, Harrington birdied the 11th to move to 20-under, which gave him a 1-shot lead.

Winings birdied the 17th and 18th to join Harrington at 20-under. Wilson made it a 3-way tie for the lead as he birdied the par-4 14th.

Harrington regained the lead as he birdied the 15th, but he gave that shot back when he bogeyed the 17th.

Wilson sank a 15-footer for birdie at the 18th to get in first at minus-21.

"I didn't know what was going on behind me. I figured I needed birdie," Wilson admitted.

Harrington also 2-putted for birdie at the last to force the playoff.

"I've known Chris a while and we're good friends. If I could be in a playoff with anybody in this field, it would be him," said Harrington, who like Wilson played at Northwestern University.
