The New England Patriots made several roster moves Saturday.

New England announced the retirement of offensive lineman Robert Gallery, signed defensive back Derrick Martin and fullback Kareem Huggins, and placed fullback Tony Fiamettta on the exempt/left squad list.

Gallery, who was the second overall pick by the Oakland Raiders in the 2004 draft, signed with the Patriots as a free agent in March.

He appeared in 104 games -- 103 starts -- for the Raiders (2004-10) and Seattle Seahawks (2011) at both tackle and guard in his career.

Martin spent last season with the New York Giants, recording 12 tackles in 14 games. Over 61 career games with the Baltimore Ravens (2006-08), Green Bay Packers (2009-10) and Giants, the six-year veteran has amassed 92 tackles and three interceptions.

Huggins has played in six games over two years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has four career carries for 11 yards and one reception for seven yards.
