Marquinhos Vieira Sousa scored 14 points and Leandro Barbosa added 13, as Brazil bounced back from a tough loss to Russia with a 98-59 rout of China in men's basketball.

Guilherme Giovannoni also finished with 13 points in the lopsided victory, while Anderson Varejao contributed nine with 13 rebounds. Brazil, coming off a 75-74 loss to Russia on a last-second shot, improved to 3-1 in Group B and will close round-robin play on Monday against Australia before the quarterfinals.

Zhu Fangyu scored 13 to lead China, which has lost its four games by an average of 23.5 points. The Chinese will try for a win in its Olympic finale on Monday against Great Britain.

China never led and it was a blowout from the start.

Brazil scored the first four points and cruised to a 25-9 advantage after the first. It was 42-21 at the break and 70-38 heading to the fourth. The Brazilians led by as many as 42 midway through the final period.
