U.S. duos pick up victory in beach volleyball

The United States team of Todd Rogers and Phil Dalhausser picked up a Pool B victory on Tuesday in men's beach volleyball.

In a match that took just over an hour, Rogers and Dalhausser, nicknamed "The Beast," needed three sets to top the Spanish duo of Pablo Herrera and Adrian Gavira.

On the women's side, Americans Jennifer Kessy and April Ross bested the Netherlands' Marleen van Iersel and Sanne Keizer, while Canada's Marie-Andree Lessard and Annie Martin suffered a Pool F loss. Great Britain's Shauna Mullin and Zara Dampney also fell in defeat.
