Cincinnati Reds center fielder Drew Stubbs and Milwaukee Brewers center fielder Carlos Gomez have been named National League co-Players of the Week for the period ending July 29.

Gomez led the majors with 10 runs scored and tied Stubbs for first in the NL with 10 RBI and three stolen bases over seven games last week. The Dominican Republic native logged three multi-hit efforts and belted four home runs, including his career-high ninth of the season on Sunday.

Stubbs ranked second in the NL with nine runs scored and crushed three home runs to help the NL Central-leading Reds earn a 6-0 mark last week.

Other players considered for the award included Gomez's teammate, third baseman Aramis Ramirez, a pair of Stubbs' teammates in pitchers Mat Latos and Aroldis Chapman, Diamondbacks infielder Chris Johnson and pitcher Ian Kennedy, Nationals outfielder Michael Morse, Rockies shortstop Josh Rutledge and Dodgers pitcher Chad Billingsley.
