Elm leaves AZ for CSKA Moscow

AZ Alkmaar midfielder Rasmus Elm has opted for a move to Russia to play for CSKA Moscow, it was announced on Monday.

Elm moves to the Russian capital for a fee of around $7 million after agreeing to a three-year contract with the option of a fourth year.

The 24-year-old leaves AZ after three seasons in which he appeared in 83 league games and notched 18 goals.

Elm has also been capped 26 times by Sweden and took part in this summer's Euro 2012 competition.
