Report: Dez Bryant's mother won't press charges

The mother of Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant won't press assault charges against her son, according to NBC 5 in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Dez Bryant was arrested on July 16 on a Class-A family violence charge. He allegedly assaulted Angela Bryant during an argument at her home two days earlier.

During the argument, Dez Bryant grabbed his mother by her T-shirt, causing it and her bra to tear. He continued by pulling her hair and hitting her across the face with his ball cap.

"I can't keep letting him do this," Angela Bryant said on the 911 call. "I can't keep letting him do me like this. I'm tired. I'm going to put an end to it today."

According to the TV station, DeSoto police took affidavit of non-prosecution to the district attorney's office on Monday. However, the district attorney's office might speak to hear about the decision.

Bryant could still be punished under the NFL's personal conduct policy.

Dez Bryant caught 63 balls for 928 yards and nine touchdowns with the Cowboys last season.
