The San Diego Padres activated pitcher Eric Stults from the 15-day disabled list and optioned pitcher Nick Vincent to Triple-A Tucson.

The 32-year-old Stults was placed on the disabled list after suffering a strained left lat. In four starts with the Padres this season, he is 1-2 with a 3.33 earned run average.

The Padres claimed Stults off waivers from the Chicago White Sox on May 17. In six games this season between the two teams, including five starts, Stults is 1-2 with a 3.19 ERA.

In six major league seasons with the Dodgers, Rockies, White Sox and Padres, the left-hander is 9-12 with a 4.64 ERA.

Vincent, 26, made seven relief appearances for the Padres, going 1-0 and allowing four runs in eight innings.
