Seven-time All-Star forward Grant Hill signed a contract with the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday.

Hill, 39, an 18-year NBA veteran, averaged 10.2 points and 3.5 rebounds in 49 games for Phoenix last season. He saw limited action late in the season after having a procedure to repair a meniscus tear in his right knee.

The third overall pick in the 1994 draft by Detroit, Hill spent his first six seasons playing for the Pistons before spending the next six (2000-2007) with the Magic. He was limited to playing 200 games for Orlando due to injuries to his left ankle.

Hill played the last five seasons for the Suns.

In all, Hill has played in 997 career games, 972 of which have been starts. He is a 31.5 percent 3-point shooter.
